Eagle's Nest

“The developmental foundation of a classical education is the cultivation of wonder and an appreciation for language ... through an early love of language, numbers, and books.” - Simply Classical Level B Curriculum Manual

The Eagle’s Nest preschool program works to cultivate a love for God’s creation and an awareness of His love by each student. This is achieved through daily experiences focused on addressing the cognitive, physical, behavioral, and spiritual needs of each child in a safe and nurturing environment. Students interact directly and intentionally with their environment and the objects in it through a provided variety of fine and gross motor activities, creative outlets, language and math activities, music experiences, and Bible teaching. Our classical curriculum focuses on nurturing the imagination of students, initiating thoughtful conversations, and strengthening their faith.

Our New Home

EN Building
Eagle's Nest students have a new home starting in the 2024-25 school year!  The Eagle's Nest building sits just down the road from the main TC campus at 4023 Beverly Dr. Toledo, OH (at the corner of the Anthony Wayne Trail and Copland Blvd.).

The building is dedicated to our littlest of eagles and provides even more opportunity for them to play, learn, and grow together.

Curriculum

The Eagle’s Nest uses the Junior Kindergarten Memoria Press curriculum in both our preschool and pre-kindergarten program.  It’s goals are simple -- to introduce the student to the joy of learning and the satisfaction of a job well done. It focuses on age-appropriate, quality content, “real” books that are beautiful and rich, well-prioritized objectives, recitation, and repetition. Students will be prepared for a phonics-based kindergarten program by being “reading ready” and academically mature. Students interact daily with letters, sounds, numbers, literature, games, music, play, poetry, art, and prayer.

Daily Schedule

Structure, routine, and careful organization of schedule are respected as vital components to the development of a child’s independence and responsibility. Our daily schedules are carefully planned with these goals in mind. Each child has been hand crafted by our Heavenly Father and we embrace those differences and needs in these early years. Several schedules are offered to accommodate all children at varying levels of their needs. Both half day (8:05 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) and full day (8:05 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.) options are available for families, as well as before and after care options.

What We Do in the Eagle's Nest?

Students in the Eagle's Nest program experience the perfect blend of grow, play, and learn!  We offer an array of activities throughout the week that meet the individual needs of our students, which include daily bible lessons and devotions, weekly specials (i.e art, gym, music), dramatic play and fine-motor activities, math and science activities, and so much more!

ACCSThe Grammar Stage (PK - 6) of the Classical Christian education involves memorization of basic facts about a subject and is taught to younger children who naturally love to chant, recite, and memorize.
